There are few words that can describe the depth of feeling and pride I have for my family and my heritage. Hailing from the smallest of villages in Uttar Pradesh northern India I was Inspired to start Ganesh Shankar Nita Dixit as an expression of the love and respect I have for the creative Men & women of my family. My earliest memories are of being surrounded by the multi-generational, handsome, travel loving and talented men’s of my family; grandfather, father, uncle and brothers. They were all extremely adept in the traveling domestic as well as internationally. It seemed that my Father G.S Dixit’s legs were in constant motion, whether it was stepped out with housework or official purpose, he travelled almost across the india personally as well as officially.

When my father was going out with his bag pack I as a child wondered to know that on which corner of India he was going to travel, what was the medium of travel and in how many days he would be back, and that time the traveling and getting accommodation was not as easy as now, he was in such a hurry to catch his vehicle and only said “he will let me know after he will be back” I said Okay and started counting the days on calendar and after a long wait the day came when he was arrived back after finishing the tour, I was very curiously asked the same question and he started explaining me everything that where he went, through which vehicle he travelled, where he stay and what difficulties he faced off, I was always very wondered and afraid as he explained me about the difficulties he faced during his journey, some time he missed his bus, car and train because of booking not available and all the ticket was sold out illegally and because of that a long wait for next available vehicle and as result he did not reach the destination and get the accommodation on time, sometime he had to compromised the travelling nights to stay on station without sleep, and from there I decided to make booking easy and handy for each & every person who are facing such difficulties.
